Mission & History

1986 — Foundation Through Ownership
The acquisition of our mine marked a defining moment in the formation of 79 Protons. Owning the asset provided direct access to valuable mineral deposits and full operational control across exploration, extraction, and processing. This foundation enabled a disciplined, vertically informed approach focused on efficiency, risk management, and long-term value creation within the United States.

2001 — Responsible Process Innovation
As environmental responsibility became increasingly important, our focus expanded toward developing cleaner, more sustainable chemical processes for ore extraction. This work laid the groundwork for reducing waste, conserving resources, and minimizing environmental impact while maintaining industrial performance. These early efforts helped define our commitment to responsible mining and science-driven innovation.

2016 to Present — Advanced Technology and U.S. Operations
In 2016, we transitioned operations from Utah to Texas, establishing a long-term U.S. base rooted in a favorable regulatory environment and strong industrial infrastructure. Today, our work centers on refining and validating proprietary ion and electron exchange technologies designed to improve the precision, efficiency, and reliability of critical metal recovery. Through continued research and controlled validation, we focus on scalability, consistency, and long-term operational viability, positioning our technology for responsible industry adoption and meaningful impact.
